Hello students and families of Room 414,

My name is Ms. Abuyo and I will be your 6th grade teacher! I am very excited to be joining the Camarena family. This will be my third year teaching and my second year teaching sixth-grade. I have taught grades kindergarten, 4, 5, and 6. Before my teaching career, I attended UCSD for my Bachelor’s in Human Development and Education Studies (Go Tritons!), then received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at SDSU. I continued my higher education and received my Master of Arts in Teaching, with a focus on Reading & Language Arts at SDSU.

I was born in the Philippines and raised in San Diego. When I am not teaching, I am playing with my four dogs, relaxing with my family and friends, or exploring our beautiful city.

I look forward to our amazing year! We are going to learn so much (and also make a few mistakes along the way, which is TOTALLY OKAY), and I am excited to be a part of your educational journey!
