Parent Helpline for Office 365 and Teams

If you are having tech issues, please continue to reach out to me for help.  My first suggestion is going to be the following as it really does seem to clear up a lot of issues:

  1. Delete all browsing history & data.
  2. Clear the cache.
Guide to Clearing Cache, Cookies & History
  3. Shut down and restart the computer completely.

If you continue to have technical issues, please seek the CVESD’s Parent Helpline:

Our District has established a Parent Helpline to provide technical support with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and Achieve 3000.  Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Parents may call if they need support with these tools and an IT team member will assist them. You may need to leave a message during peak times but please be reassured that someone will contact you as soon as possible. The parent helpline number is 619-409-6638.

The help line cannot help with any other platform such as Google Classroom, EdPuzzle, or Khan Academy.  Continue sending any concerns with these programs to me and I will help the best I can!

Flipgrid

Hi everyone!

We will be using a new tool called Flipgrid. It is another way for us to connect with each other.

Log in using your DISTRICT/MICROSOFT log in (123456@live.cvesd.org) and your password.

You can also download the app. Our Flip Code is Abuyo414. Watch my video, and I look forward to watching yours!  Both the link above & the QR code take you to our class Flipgrid.

Week of 4/20-4/24 Lesson Plans

Hello all,

I hope everyone had a good weekend!

I am so proud of all of my students trying their best and figuring out and working through distance learning. They have shown resilience, positivity, and perseverance in the first week! I know that we will be able to conquer the rest of the school year.

Here is this week’s lesson plans: Week of 4/20-4/24 Lesson Plans

Thank you for your continuous support!

Troubleshooting Error Messages

I have received some comments that students are running into error messages on Achieve 3000 and other district used sites. This might say “Oops there was a problem” on Achieve. If this happens, they probably need to clear the cache on the browser. I have attached a PDF below that walks you through how to do this on Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, and Internet explorer. They would also need to completely exit the browser and go back in to try again. Please let me know if you have any questions.

How to Contact Ms. Abuyo

I hope the first couple of days of Distant Learning is going well for you.

If a student has a question or needs to get in contact with me, please do so in one of these ways:

  1. Chat feature within Microsoft Teams.  The format is a lot like a text message conversation. (Each student should expect a message from me by the end of today)
  2. Email – zsarajoyce.abuyo@cvesd.org

While I can see questions asked on Google (Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Slides, any chat feature through Google), it is hard for me to follow through and messages can be overlooked.

I do my best to respond to any messages or answer any questions within 24 hours.

Thank you for your continued support! We’re all in this together!

Camp Refunds

Families, we are working with the district to process refunds for camp payments.  Regardless of how you paid, either cash or check, you will be receiving a refund check in the mail from the district.  Your refund was calculated by adding your cash/check payment plus any Butter Braid profit that was applied towards your child’s camp balance.  The process time for this refund is approximately 4 weeksPlease fill out this form by Thursday, April 16th so that the district has the information it needs to process your payment.
(Note: Some checks were not deposited.  If at this time your check has not been cashed, it will not ever be cashed.  We have written VOID on those checks, and they can be picked up in the Camarena front office once school opens, if you wish.  If you want immediate proof of your voided check, your child’s teacher can send you a picture of the VOID check)

Week of 4/13-4/17 Lesson Plans

Most of the assignments will be done in Google Classroom and are available to students through their Camarena Google Classroom account. Please remember that any and all work is optional.  Our intention was to provide opportunities for students to continue being engaged in learning. None of this is meant to cause any additional stress during this time.  If you or your student have any questions or issues please email me at zsarajoyce.abuyo@cvesd.org
